LONDON FESTIVAL OF ARCHITECTURE 2017
The London Festival of Architecture 2017 runs from 1-30 June. The theme of the Festival is 'Memory'. West London Link, in partnership with HammersmithLondon, will be having two FREE guided walks during June as well as an exhibition on the changing Town Centre from 20-29 June.
The exhibition is from 20-29 June from 9.30am-5.30pm weekdays; 11am-3pm Saturday (Sundays closed).
It will capture the character of a handful of places in central Hammersmith, including Hammersmith Town Hall, the Broadway Centre, and the Apollo. Come and explore the changing character of the past, the dreams for the future and how places that once formed the scenery for many people's most vivid memories of Hammersmith have now disappeared.
Our event will be a time capsule for the now and a gift of nostalgia for the future.
The first walk, on 3 June will be about the memories encapsulated in the artistic institutions surrounding us in Hammersmith and is also a part of the Hammersmith and Fulham ArtsFest. The walk will meet at 11am at Hammersmith tube.
The second, on 24 June also meets at 11am at Hammersmith tube. Come along to hear about the memories, both architectural and otherwise, of St Paul's Church.
As well as these walks, our exhbition called Where do you think you are? will be on show at St Paul's Church.

- From 3 May to 18 July 2016, as part of the London Festival of Architecture, West London Link along with HammersmithLondon BID ran a competition called 'Imagine Hammersmith' - a chance to design improvements to the town centre. There were two categories with a £1000 prize for first place in the Best Hammersmith Town Centre category and £500 in the Best U16s category.
- A pop-up exhibition in Kings Mall between 11th-13th June 2015 12-6pm: The exhibition will show our main contributions to date, and our thoughts for the future, including our views on the Borough’s Feasibility Studies. We will be exhibiting images that show Hammersmith, Past – Present and Future and perhaps raising some provocative questions about the best way forward. We will also be exhibiting the great work undertaken by the local children in the Design Education workshops held in St Paul's Primary School (see below) and in a number of other local primary schools.
- A Question Time style debate chaired by a John Humphrys on 18th June 2015 at Lyric Studio Theatre: The exhibition will pop-up here and will be open from 5.30pm. Doors open to the main event at 6pm. The panel will be made up of members from the council, Transport for London, and specialist Tunnelling Engineers. Other panel members will be confirmed later.
